Sacas: unsubscribe with receipts

A tool that finds the way out of every marketing email, takes it for you, and remembers who ignored you.

Every marketing email has a way out in its footer. It is tiny, it is one at a time, and half the time it lands on a page that wants to know why you are leaving. Sacas does the leaving for you.

Finds themScans your inbox for anything with an unsubscribe path, in the headers or buried in the footer, and shows you the list first.
Takes the way outOne click where the sender allows it. Where they do not, a real browser clicks through the "are you sure" pages.
Brings back a receiptA screenshot and the confirmation text for every one, so you know it happened.
Remembers who ignored youA sender that emails you again after you opted out gets noticed, and kept on a list.

Why

Unsubscribing is a tax you pay one email at a time. The link is small, the page has a survey, and "you have been unsubscribed" does not always mean it. Automating the clicking was the easy part. The part worth building was the ledger: a record of who you told to stop, and who did not.

Where it could go

Sacas already knows what a marketing email looks like. The next version decides for you and you approve the batch in one pass, instead of picking through it.

The ledger is private today. If enough people's copies agreed that a sender ignores opt-outs, that would be worth saying out loud, together. Something between a scoreboard and a neighborhood watch.

Sacas is running now, for me and a few testers.
